I dream of Jeannie

One of the super early sitcoms that was ever aired was “I dream of Jeannie” about a US Astronaut who comes across a 2,000 year old Genie.  So old, in fact, that it wasn’t originally produced in color (I might be dating myself here…).  She wasn’t your typical idea of a genie who granted three wishes and then disappeared from your life to leave you reaping the benefits of your badly-worded wishes (genies are also known for being pranksters and changing the meaning of your wishes).  Before I bore you talking about a television show that was produced in the 60’s, let me get down to the point of this post: if you had three wishes for your business, what would you wish for?

Do you want to be a successfully thriving millionaire and produce your own television shows like Donald Trump?

Maybe you’d like to get your hands on a rare and unique find/treasure that could promote your business to the perfect level?

Instantly master the art and skill of the social media.

Have a never-ending supply of materials to make your product.

Whatever your wishes for your business are, I want to tell you, that it is all quite possible.  The results may not be instantaneous, and might require a bit of work on your part, but they are all quite attainable.  For instance, if you want to master the art and skill of the social media, simply do the research and attain the knowledge required.  There are TONS upon TONS of online resources (just google it).  You may spend countless hours reading, taking notes, retaining information, but then you apply everything you have learned, and you discover that you are improving.  And you continue to work on that applying what you are learning, and eventually you will get to that “master” level.

I encourage you to take the time, think it out, write it down.  What are your three wishes for your business?  It’s sort of like figuring out the main goals and purpose of your work.  Once you have that figured out, you can then focus your time and effort into accomplishing those.  Hitting those goals is very exiting and is totally worth whatever time you put into it.
